TRYOUT DETAILS FOR 2020 TEAMS

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN TRYING OUT FOR A 2020 HAWKS ELITE OR AAA TEAM

The Newmarket Baseball Association is pleased to announce the first tryout schedule for 2020 Hawks Elite teams at 15U (born calendar year 2005), 16U (born calendar year 2004), and 17U-18U (born calendar years 2002-2003).

​

“Elite” replaces “AAA” at these age groups and teams play in Baseball Ontario’s “Elite Baseball League of Ontario” (EBLO at www.elitebaseball.ca).

TRYOUT DATES AND LOCATIONS​

​

15U Elite (2005s): Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (McKnight); Monday, Aug. 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (McKnight)

​

16U Elite (2004s): Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (UPDATE: DUE TO RAIN, AUG. 6 LOCATION NOW NEWMARKET SOCCER CENTRE, 621 NEWPARK BLVD FROM 7:30-9:00); Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (McKnight); Monday, Aug. 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (McKnight)

17U Elite & 18U Elite (2003s and 2002s):  Monday, Aug. 12 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (UPDATE: DIAMOND NOW WHIPPER)

"McKnight" is Don McKnight Field at the Fairgrounds (200 Muriel St.). Additional tryouts may be at "Whipper" which is Whipper Billy Watson Park on the north side of Clearmeadow Av. just east of Bathurst St.

​All tryout details, including dates, times, locations, and fees, are subject to change. The above dates and times and additional dates and times will be posted and continuously updated on the new Hawks Elite website

4 STEPS TO TRYOUT FOR 2020 TEAMS

 

  1. Visit the home page of this website and/or www.newmarketbaseball.com regularly to confirm tryout dates, times, and locations for your specific team.

  2. Complete the online registration form at https://nba.goalline.ca/register.php?reg_form_id=24496 as soon as possible. All interested players must pre-register regardless of when they are able to attend their first tryout.  A one-time $20.00 fee is payable upon registration.

  3. Contact the applicable head coach (see attached flyer for email addresses) if you have any questions about the 2020 team or the tryout process.

  4. Please contact the applicable head coach if you have schedule conflicts with your team’s tryout dates.
